The Splitter

I recently came across this work (top two images) by Stefania Gurdowa. These images were made in Poland between 1921-1937, and were just found ten years ago. They remind me of Mike Disfarmer's work in Arkansas around the same time.
I really love the split negatives on the same sheet of film, giving the viewer two different portraits as one work.
Inspired by this for my own work I went on to Ebay and bought a "splitter" for my Deardorff. It's a simple piece of wood that goes in the back of the ground glass, dividing the sheet in to two images. You compose for the left side, take the picture, and then compose for the right side and take another picture. Here is my first result- simple flowers.
